Come out to the Tacoma Center YMCA from 6:30–8:30 PM and enjoy an evening of basketball!

All participants must have a YMCA membership to play. If you're 15 years or older and affiliated with Rainier Adaptive Sports (RAS), you qualify for a 50% discount on a YMCA membership, bringing the cost down to just $35 per month!

Rainier Adaptive Sports athlete Arturo Torres delivered an outstanding performance this weekend at the Pine Cone Classic in Spokane. Arturo represented Rainier Adaptive Sports putting together a great showing against a strong field of athletes. The hard work and dedication displayed throughout the meet were evident, and the results reflect the steady progress being made this season.

Each competition is another opportunity for the team to learn, grow, and build toward even bigger goals.

Congratulations, Arturo, on a fantastic weekend—we can’t wait to see what future events bring as the team continues to develop.

What does RAS have going on this Saturday?

Come on out to play some beep baseball and have fun trying out this amazing sport. Practice will be from 10 AM - 12 PM at Boze Elementary School (1140 E 65th St, Tacoma, WA 98404).

Come on out and enjoy the amazing weather during the Ruston Roll. We'll meet at 10 AM at the Ruston Playground, roll the boardwalk, enjoy the waterfront views, and finish with everyone's favorite reward—ice cream! 🍦

Come on out tonight to play some hoops from 6-8 PM at the Boys and Girls Club of South Puget Sound (3875 S 66th St #101, Tacoma, WA 98409). Tonight will be our last practice at the Boys and Girls Club before we transition to practicing Wednesdays at the Tacoma Center YMCA for the summer (1144 Market St, Tacoma, WA 98402).

🏆 Congratulations, Lukas! 🏆

Our Grit City Sound athlete, Lukas Barfield, competed with the Seattle King Cobras at the Peach State Classic Goalball Tournament last week and helped lead the team to a perfect 5–0 record, capturing the tournament championship!

We’re incredibly proud of your hard work and success, Lukas.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back when Grit City Sound Goalball practices resume at the beginning of September. See you on the court!
