Yesterday’s primary election marks the official start of our 90-day sprint to November 3rd! 🗳️
We’re up against the exact same corporate landlord lobby that dumped nearly $400,000 into our city in 2023 against the Tenant Bill of Rights and LOST. Across the nation and right here at home, voters are furious about outside dark money corrupting our elections and attempting to buy our political system. They want to turn local policy into something sold to the highest corporate bidder—but Tacoma belongs to us, not out-of-state real estate PACs.
The corporate landlord lobby is preparing to drop record-breaking amounts of outside cash yet again to defeat SAFE Homes for All Measure No. 1. But we beat them once at this game and we can do it again with the most powerful resource there is: people power.
Our volunteer team knocked on 10,000 doors this spring, and we are aiming to hit 10,000 doors again this fall. To back up our grassroots door-knockers and cut through their dark-money ad blitz, we need the resources to print mailers, run independent media, and distribute yard signs across every neighborhood.
We don’t rely on corporate PACs or billionaire landlords—we rely on working-class neighbors fighting for fairness.
