Providing a safe haven for abused and neglected animals. Tabor City, NC We have been rescuing animals for many years. Follow us on our journey!

We are a 501c3 animal sanctuary incorporated in 2015 for abused abandoned and neglected animals. Our focus is mainly farmed animals but we also see the need to help rescue the dogs and cats of our community, spaying and neutering, getting vet care and adopting them out to loving homes. Cindy Holm has been a licensed Vet Tech for over 20 years. Gregg works as a carpenter/welder and is able to build the animals whatever they need and is also experienced in animal care from the 25 years of living and working together. We care for abused, abandoned, and neglected animals. We convey a different way of seeing them, as individuals, each having a very different personality. We help them to have a voice to tell their stories and to help stop the suffering.

Can you spot Claudine? She's doing an expert job blending in with her surroundings today! 🌿🐷

Update on Claudine: Since separating her from the herd, she seems to be getting around a little bit better every day. Having her own quiet space to heal and relax is doing wonders for her.💜

Sweet Georgie enjoying a restful afternoon. She looks deep in thought, or maybe she's just completely zoned out.

If your Monday didn’t quite go the way you planned, here is Elton’s sweet face to end it on a high note. There’s nothing quite like the way he looks at you—a gentle reminder that better days are always ahead, starting right now. 🤍

Just Ramona enjoying the simple things: good dirt, head scratches, and a very satisfying, lip-smacking snack.

Security alert: we have an imposter on site! 🐸

We found the absolute cutest little visitor hanging out today. Don’t worry, Toad🐽(the pig)—your status is secure, and you still reign as Flip Side’s original and best Toad! But this tiny guy is definitely giving you a run for your money in the cuteness department.

Just Marty taking his time coming over for a chat, enjoying some hand-picked yard treats he couldn't reach on his own, and settling in for some sweet pets. He’s moving a bit slower these days than when he first came to us for hospice, but today was just a perfect, lazy afternoon for a very good boy. 🤎

Molting season might have Corrigan looking a little disheveled, but his model good looks are undeniable.✨️

Leon and Wiley are strictly pig people, not people people—and that’s completely okay. They don’t exist for our entertainment or approval; they’re just here to live their lives on their own terms. We respect who they are and what they need, even if it means being the subject of their private side-eye conversations from a quiet distance. 🌿
