We are a 501c3 animal sanctuary incorporated in 2015 for abused abandoned and neglected animals. Our focus is mainly farmed animals but we also see the need to help rescue the dogs and cats of our community, spaying and neutering, getting vet care and adopting them out to loving homes. Cindy Holm has been a licensed Vet Tech for over 20 years. Gregg works as a carpenter/welder and is able to build

the animals whatever they need and is also experienced in animal care from the 25 years of living and working together. We care for abused, abandoned, and neglected animals. We convey a different way of seeing them, as individuals, each having a very different personality. We help them to have a voice to tell their stories and to help stop the suffering.

It has officially been two weeks since these two joined us at FSS, and we're so excited to officially introduce them now that they have names! Meet Flintstone and Jetson (we usually call them Flint and Jet for short).

These super sweet, high-energy pups are starting to thrive. They are making steady progress getting past their parasites and are loving indoor life, especially lounging right over the floor vents to cool off after playtime ( as you can see in the photos, Jet even knows how to catch some air!) They’ll be staying in our care, safe and loved as part of their journey until they are ready for adoption.

We’re also thrilled to share a happy update on the other three puppies: Independent Animal Rescue generously stepped up to take them into their care to get ready for their own adoption journeys!

It takes a community to make these second chances happen. We're so glad we get to be a pitstop on Flint and Jet's way to their happy futures! 🐾💚

No pigs were harmed in the making of this nap! 🐷 Don’t let the dramatic set design fool you—Ivy is completely fine. A dead branch fell during a storm that passed through while she was cozy in her house. Once the storm cleared, instead of using any of her perfectly good shelters, she looked at this fallen branch and thought, "Ah yes, luxury." Swipe to see the moment she realized she’d been spotted, plus an alternate angle of her preferred napping spot.

Of course Agnes took center stage—she has the loudest voice around here and is always talking (or as she calls it, "singing").

She’s taking a rare, silent beat to look moody for the camera, but Elton, Carly, and Kiki are in position because they know she’s about to belt out the highest, loudest note at any second.

For Ramona, a filling wallow is basically a personal spa. She loves hanging out right where the hose is running to stay cool while it fills up—and of course, you always have to blow a FEW bubbles at the end. 🐷🫧
