Mountain Pet Rescue Improving lives of pets in need by providing rescue, foster, vet care, education, training & adoption We love animals!

Our goal is to place pets in need in foster and forever homes, including dogs and cats. We want to match each pet with its perfect home by assessing the pet’s temperament, evaluating the potential foster and adoption home, and following up with the pet owner to ensure a healthy and enjoyable relationship between the owner and the adopted or fostered pet. If you are interested in fostering or adopting a pet, please contact us. Those who foster are provided with pet food, crates, leashes - anything the foster parent needs to ensure a positive experience until the pet is adopted. We also provide basic education and training to the general public and to those who foster and/or adopt, so that our pets receive proper care in their new homes - and fewer need to be rescued.

Delta is one lucky dog! He crawled up on the right porch one morning after a bad storm and was welcomed in by a caring couple. Delta has been nourished and medicated back to health and is now ready for adoption! Delta is now 1-1/2 yrs old and 56 lbs of very playful pup! Adopted from MPR a year ago and living in the Denver area, Mingo is a very loving 2 yrs old, 55-60 lbs, girl, who hates to be alone! Her people are unable to be home as much as she'd like and they can't adopt a second dog. Mingo does great at doggie daycare and is non-destructive when left home alone, but she gets so anxious that she is now on medication to help. We are hopeful that Mingo can weaned off of those drugs if we can find her a more appropriate home. She enjoys playing with other dogs, but is a resource guarder and needs to be the only dog in her home. Ronnie is a 55 lbs Aussie mix who was abandoned at a rural recreational area and is so grateful for rescue! He loves human attention (rolls over for belly rubs) and gets along great with other dogs! Ronnie is crate trained and, although he has the energy to outplay other dogs, after his ordeal, he currently feels safest indoors.
