Our goal is to place pets in need in foster and forever homes, including dogs and cats. We want to match each pet with its perfect home by assessing the pet’s temperament, evaluating the potential foster and adoption home, and following up with the pet owner to ensure a healthy and enjoyable relationship between the owner and the adopted or fostered pet. ing a pet, please contact us. Those who foster are provided with pet food, crates, leashes - anything the foster parent needs to ensure a positive experience until the pet is adopted. We also provide basic education and training to the general public and to those who foster and/or adopt, so that our pets receive proper care in their new homes - and fewer need to be rescued.

Oklahoma supporters: Temporary Foster(s) Needed!
Found outside the office of one of our partner vets near Oklahoma City in June, Liberty and Rocket are getting stressed a sad living in the clinics boarding facility! Liberty is a Great Pyrenees mix approx 1yr old and 97 lbs and Rocket is an Anatolian Shepherd mix approx 1-2 yrs old and 100 lbs. These two are social and love people! People often ask, "How long will it take for my foster to be adopted?" Our answer... as long as it takes to find the forever home they deserve! Sometimes, it takes a bit longer, but we are so grateful to have the support of our dedicated Foster's who allow our puppy's and dogs to grow, learn, and blossom in their homes while they wait for their perfect forever home! Bambi has been well loved and socialized in her foster home. She has a head start on basic training and is going to make a loyal companion. Found as a stray in Southern Colorado, Solstice gave birth to 6 healthy puppies (5 males, 1 female) shortly after being rescued! This sweet mama was stressed in the shelter setting which was why her shelter called on MPR to help! Now settled in to their foster home in Steamboat Springs, mama and babies are thriving! Solstice is a young border collie mix approx 40lbs, Dad was unknown. Her puppies will be old enough and available for adoption in a few weeks! Black labs hold a special place in our hearts and, with all of the breed rescues full, we feel compelled to help this dog in need. Currently in rural Oklahoma, Bubba was not accepted at the area shelter as he was dumped outside of city limits. The man who is currently providing food and water says that Bubba is good with his family, dogs and cats and Bubba continues to stay around outside at his house as he is being fed there. Found as a stray in a Dollar General parking lot, Rosie did not have a microchip and no one came to claim her. Rosie is a very sweet girl and once she has bonded she seems to love everyone! She loves romping with other dogs and being near her people. At approx 12 mos old and 60lbs, this young St. Bernard(?) mix aims to please and we feel is going to make a loyal companion. Rosie will be happiest in a home with a securely fenced yard/property, a canine sibling to play with, and people who are home often. Update… Thank you for all of your shares as we’ve had lots of responses! Brewster is safe and we’ll be in touch with everyone who has reached out to help.

Brewster was left behind after a large rodeo in rural Oklahoma. Approx 2 yrs old, this red heeler boy loves life… people, dogs, cats and riding in vehicles. Shelter staff adores this dog and does not want to euthanize him, but Brewster is not doing well in his kennel and adoptions are extremely rare in this middle of nowhere shelter. Brewster’s only flaw (and why the shelter is especially stressful for him) is that Brewster is Blind. 😢 Please share far and wide… in Oklahoma and Colorado… and text us 9702817381 if you can help us save Brewster.

We love Baldur! This big fluff is approx 2yrs old and 100lbs of pure love! Baldur enjoys car rides, walks, playtime with his toys and all the belly rubs! He will thrive in a home with people who understand the characteristics of livestock guardian breeds and with a securely fenced yard or property for him to patrol. Baldur was raised with kids and cats and he does well with other laid back dogs with a proper introduction.
