We have long underwritten the volunteer Sheriff's Lake Patrol and network with the Enforcement Division of Indiana DNR and other safety interests. We encourage boating education, be it Coast Guard, DNR, or Wawasee Yacht Club's Junior Sailing program. We monitor water clarity and water quality. We support the Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation and their wetlands acquisition program. We are represe
nted on the WACF's Watershed Task Force studying the impact of runoff into Wawasee. We endorse sewerization. We assist several groups studying Zebra Mussels in Wawasee and other area lakes. We communicate with folks on other lakes. Our June Board Meeting is traditionally open to the general public for sharing of mutual goals. We provide family gathering events such as our Members' Annual Meeting. A highlight of many family summers is WPOA's Independence Weekend Fireworks. We're volunteer directors who live in your neighborhoods. We depend on your input to guide us. We reach deeply into our roots through the WawaPeers group of former officers and directors.
