You know when you find those people who immediately vibe with you? That’s how we felt about working with . We came to them with an idea about a collaboration to support our mission and help our community. They understood the assignment đŸ«Ą

From dreaming up a delicious and nutritious combination of fruits and flavors— all for the greater good (and even brainstorming names!); to serving yummy breakfast wraps and celebrating our big launch; to continuing that partnership for further impact— we’re so excited to find the people who care about people right here in our own community.

Through the month of May, you’ll find POPI Passion on the menu at Maydan. Every purchase is $1 donated, and $1 turns into $10 of community impact. Make your community service, yummyđŸ„€đŸŒș

POPI’s mission is to grow the missions of our clients — through operational support, labor subsidization, and learning and development programming for organizations doing good work in our community that otherwise don’t have access to this structure. We’re only just beginning.

The board talks vision, but the real voices that matter are the mission-forward nonprofit leaders experiencing the impact of the work.

Kelly Ocampo has been doing the hard, heart-led work of supporting bereaved families in CNY for years, all while supporting her staff in delivering that work. Marguerite Mitchell has spent more than a decade building arts education and community programming at Redhouse Arts Center — and as a leadership developer herself, she understands better than most what it actually takes to sustain the people doing the work. Both of them know what it takes, in dollars and in personal energy, to sustain a mission with a team. Both of them are talking about it on May 6th.

No PowerPoints, just an open dialogue. A real conversation about what nonprofit leaders actually need to keep doing the work and supporting those who do it.

Who’s your favorite nonprofit? What cause lights you up? As much as we passionate folks are motivated to make change in the world, the people who “do the thing” or make that change happen are experiencing new levels of difficulty in working to make it happen. Funding is the hardest it’s ever been to secure, despite massive pools of private wealth. Federal funds have been sliced. Talent is difficult to align. And compliance? Who’s he?

POPI is a 501(c)(3) focused on helping missions make impact through organizational support and labor cost subsidization that make the good work possible. There’s no shortage of people that want to make the world a better place. There is a shortage of support for those who do it. That’s where POPI steps in.

We’re one week away from our launch đŸ„‚ On May 6th the POPI Board will be joined by 2 powerful nonprofit leaders, and early supporters at Maydan Cafe to share our stories and our great opportunity for impact.

Every dollar creates a 10x ripple of economic impact in our community đŸŒș

Come for the brunch, stay for the good convo.

$1 donated to POPI returns $10 of economic impact to Central New York.

That’s what happens when small businesses and mission-driven organizations have the people infrastructure to stop losing ground and start building upon it.

At the Money Meets Mission Funders Brunch on May 6th, you’ll hear directly from Kelly Ocampo, Executive Director of Hope for Bereaved — one of CNY’s most respected nonprofit leaders — on what people strategy has meant for her organization in real terms. You’ll also hear from Marguerite Mitchell of Redhouse Arts Center, who’s still on our waitlist. Still waiting because the funding isn’t there yet.

The gap between those two stories is what this brunch is funding
our next giant opportunity for community impact.

CNY’s small businesses don’t fail for lack of heart. They fail for lack of infrastructure.

People on Purpose Inc. — POPI — is CNY’s newest 501(c)(3), built to give non-profits and mission-driven organizations access to the HR strategy and people support they need to grow, lead, and keep their people.

On May 6th at 10am, we’re hosting our first Money Meets Mission Brunch at Maydan Cafe in Baldwinsville — a working board, real client testimony, and a specific fundable ask from an organization that’s ready to move.

$45 gets you a seat at the table.
$100 supports local missions directly.
$500 invests in the movement (and gets your team in the room)
