Hi All,

This is a friendly reminder that today is the final day to register online for the AMSA National Convention! The convention is a great way to network with other medical schools, residents, and physicians. It is taking place from March 6th to March 9th, and will be held in fun/exciting New Orleans, LA!

The American Medical Students Association and the Family Medicine Student Organization are proud to announce our second annual "Why Primary Care?" Panel Discussion, featuring Dr. Kaushal Nanavati and Dr. Matthew Picone. The discussion will be an open forum about the exciting field of primary care medicine. Free lunch will be served.

We will be holding our first General Body AMSA meeting tomorrow (Wednesday 9/4/13) in the 9th floor auditorium in Weiskotten Hall. FREE INDIAN FOOD will be served!

Hey AMSA Members!

Eager to see the world? Interested in world health? Have a free four weeks during the 2013-2014 school year? If you answered yes to these questions, AMSA-USA would like to invite you to apply to undertake a four-week clinical exchange! Though the normal rolling application cycle for 2014-2015 AMSA clinical exchanges will open October 1st, four countries remain available for the 2013-2014 school year. Specifically, between November 2013 and March 2014, we would like to send students to Greece, Jordan, Panama, and Slovenia. The cost of the exchange is $750 plus airfare. This fee pays for housing, a social program, and one meal per day.

When: For one month between November 2013 and March 2014

Hi All!
TOMORROW (Thursday, 10/18/12) at NOON in SETNOR 4507, there will be a lunchtime discussion on "Kicking Patients Out Who Refuse to Vaccinate." Dr. Cynthia Morrow, MD/MPH, who is the Commissioner of the Onondaga County Health Department, will be there to discuss the article linked below, and there will be FREE FOOD from DOMINICK'S!
