Congratulations to the Class of 2026! This year will be the largest COHORT to walk across the stage in June. Seventeen youth who have experienced tragedies that the average adult would not be able to fathom. But despite the odds stacked against them they persevered and remained focus and humble.

They BELIEVED, THEY Conquered, and Now they are ready and prepared for the next academic journey.

We love you and we are beyond proud of what you have achieved and accomplished even when too thought you could not.

You ALL MAKE US Proud!

Love your Street Addiction Family 💐🥰💐

Monday morning shout-outs.

Today, we pay homage to Mr. Shawn T. Jennings a Team Leader for 1st TEAM and Street Court.

Mr Jennings serves as Sponsor for several years before transitioning into a quasi-leadership role within the institution.

Mr. Jennings always brings laughter to the office and every Friday he is guaranteed to ask in the group chat, Who got in for Fish Cove? Everybody don’t speak at once.”

He is well known in the Pop Warner community and served for several years as the Assistant Offensive Coordinator for ITC JV/Varsity football.

Fun facts:
Favorite Colors: Red & Black

Favorite Movie: Carlito’s Way

Advice to our 2026 high school graduates:
“Never let your fears be Bigger then your Dreams.”

It was like pulling teeth to get our good brother to wear a business suit for these headshots, but leadership requires courage and stepping out of the box 😉.

We appreciate you Shawn. Continue to make a difference with the children you see everyday.

Sincerely,

Dr. Salaam

Timothy “Noble” Jennings-Bey created the only theory in the world that describes the root cause of the street dynamic specifically addressing gang and gun violence as a behavioral addiction.

Jennings-Bey posits that the streets have an addictive nature similar to co***ne, alcohol, and gambling. Individuals exposed to the street dynamic are in need of respite and rehabilitation.

The SAM curriculum (Street Addiction Model) is a 10-step curriculum that assists individuals on their journey to become an instrument of peace.

His motto “the mirror is where the healing starts” is the foundation of ways in which our team engages with our target population. SAII focuses on adolescents to adults focusing on minimizing trauma induced by neighborhood conflict that can potentially lead to a pattern of non-productive behaviors (e.g. Street Addiction).

Background:
In 1996 Jennings-Bey began his career as Violence Prevention Specialist. In this role he created lines of communication between feuding neighborhoods.

Over the course of three decades Noble has become a sentence in the nerrative of violence prevention in the city of Syracuse, any and the greater Onondaga County community.

His legacy extends throughout major institutions within the city of Syracuse such as but not limited to:

-Upstate Medical: VEPOP (Violence, Education, and Prevention Outreach Program)

-Syracuse University Falk College of Sports: 14 empirical research published studies

-Syracuse Trauma Response Team: a three tier process for responding to shootings and homicides on a 24 hrs basis

-Syracuse TRUCE: outreach services for high profile gang affiliated neighborhoods

-SNUG: co-writer for the grant providing valuable insights on how to administer effective programming for violence prevention

-Onondaga District Attorney’s Office: administered group sessions and one-on-ones with individuals charged with fi****ms

Education:
Noble is a proud graduate of HENNINGER High School🖤💛. He holds a BS in Criminal Justice from Empire State College with 30 years of experience and expertise in the area of Gang Violence & Prevention.

Fun Facts:
Most Proud Professional Accomplishment:
“Bringing peace between neighborhoods, creating the theory of “ STREET ADDICTION” and having the theory implemented on the ground in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Favorite Color: Olive Green
Favorite Movie: V for Vendetta
Favorite pastime: Playing Chess

One word of advice for our 2026 graduating seniors: “Take up Space! STAY BIG!!!”

One of the greatest joys of doing the work is being able to witness the growth of one of your youth.

Tyquan Thomas now a Sponsor at Brighton Academy started with SAII at the age of 12. A 2025 graduate of ITC the Mayor of SAII (😎) entered College with one year of college courses under his belt. Yes you read that correctly.

Next week he will graduate one year early from Onondaga Community College with a focus in Engineering.

Although he is still undecided as to which one out of five four year universities he will attend come the Fall of 2026….you better believe his 3.5 GPA will lead him to wherever his heart desires.

My heart is always full knowing that along his journey SAII and TRT had a positive impact on his life.

We love you TYY. Continue to live with purpose!

Sincerely,

Dr. Salaam

On this Friday we pause to pay our appreciation to a man who without a doubt deserves recognition.

Mr. Clinton Hill is undoubtedly the example of “when life throws you lemons…make lemonade.” His determination to strive to be the best version of himself never goes unnoticed.

What we love the most is his loyalty to his children, the organization, and his willingness and dedication to SAII’s client base. Mr. Hill volunteers to support every event including art projects and Foolishness Fridays where youth stay onsite from midnight until 7:30 am.

We could go on forever about how amazing Mr. Hill is, but we will save that for another day.

Take a bow Mr. Clinton Hill. You’ve earned your right to sit at the table.

Sincerely,

Nobe & Dr. Najah
