Our Story
Women of the University Community (WUC) is an inclusive organization established at Syracuse University in 1927. We are here to offer you friendship, fellowship, interest groups, and information about the Syracuse community. We schedule special events throughout the school year, sponsor interest groups that meet regularly, and organize projects to raise funds for three endowed scholarships. The WUC sponsors of three endowed scholarships for women who attend SU- University College, Syracuse University and SUNY College Environmental and Forestry. The Mildred Eggers award is presented to students in Continuing Education studying part time at University College, the Ruth Tolley award is presented to outstanding juniors in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics, and the Beverly Whaley scholarship to a sophomore or junior at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
