Burn Foundation of CNY Our coverage area is large. Watertown to Binghamton. Utica to Rochester. We go where there is need. Fires are tragic. Something no one wants to experience. Arts.

Life changing. And just imagine how much more significant that is for a child. Kids have enough to worry about without the added pressure dealing with burn injuries. Burn Camp is a chance for kids who’ve survived a fire to come together to be kids. It’s a special place to spend four days with old and new friends. The overnight camp is an opportunity for kids between the ages of 6 and 16 to come to

gether to have fun and share their feelings and experiences. Crafts. Sports. Games. Water sports. Those are all the things most kids experience at camp. But at Burn Camp kids also spend time with nurses, social workers, adult burn survivors and firefighters. It’s an opportunity for them to create a new and positive self-image. The cost of the Burn Camp is entirely underwritten so that there is no cost to the children or their families. We are the Burn Foundation of CNY. A non-profit, 100-percent volunteer based organization committed to burn support, awareness and prevention. We understand the physical, emotional and financial challenges faced by burn survivors and their families. And we’re working to make their recovery process a bit easier.

This past weekend (Friday, Feb. 6th thru Sunday, Feb. 8th) the Burn Foundation of CNY held its' 12th Annual Overnight Retreat for our burn survivors, their caregivers, supporters, and friends!! We are extremely grateful to Syracuse Crunch Hockey Club, Nedrow Volunteer Fire Department Inc. and 2nd Assistant Chief Rick Nemier, Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3) and President Amy Kremenek, Neptune Hose Co #1 of Dryden Inc. Dryden Ambulance Inc., including Chief Pete Tyler, Deputy Chief Timothy Arnold, and Firefighter Stacy Arnold, Dryden Police Department, CP Foods Wholesale Foodservice Distributor, First Student Bus of Rochester and Driver Extraordinaire Franklin Louk, Chris Xaver & Ed Matlak & Family, our Burn Camp Directors Jay & Judy Tinker, Central New York Mopar Association with President Marty Halstead & Treasurer John Buckley, Community Bank, N.A.
