Thank you the Eagle Scout Troop 117 for building an upgrade to our bottle and can drop off center! All your ongoing donations of bottles and cans are so amazing and now we have a weather friendly area to store them! Thank you Troop 117 for taking on this project, raising the funds and building it to support the pups!

Scoutbook Plus has two new Merit Badge Counselor (MBC) features.

Merit Badge Classes - MBCs can now group the youth they counsel into "classes," which work much like patrols. Using Bulk Actions, they can quickly mark requirements complete and approved for the whole class at once.

Merit Badge Counselor Cleanup - Counselors still connected to a Scout will now be removed automatically one year after the merit badge is completed and approved. Any counselors who were still connected more than a year after completion have already been disconnected.

Growing Scouts BSA membership starts with a strong plan, and the Scouts BSA Membership Corner page gives Troops the tools to do it.

The page includes a Membership Menu, a list of more than 40 year-round recruiting ideas for each troop to choose 10 to complete, and the Troop Builder Planning Checklist, which leaders use twice a year to review recruitment, retention, and program plans. Troops can also watch three recorded membership webinars on recruiting non-Scouts and older youth, putting the PLC in charge of growth, and downloading the new pediatrician handout that parents can bring to wellness visits so more families learn about Scouting.

For more than five years, Pack 32 stood quiet. Like so many parts of our community, our Cub Scout pack felt the heavy and lasting impacts of the COVID pandemic. Meetings paused, events disappeared from calendars, and a once‑thriving unit found itself navigating an uncertain future.

Yet even in those quiet years, the spirit of Pack 32 never faded.
Behind the scenes, families, volunteers, and dedicated leaders continued to encourage one another, gathering informally, building interest bit by bit, and keeping the flame alive. Step by step, with patience and determination, the foundations were rebuilt.

And today, we can proudly say it:

🎉🎉🎉Pack 32 is officially back. 🎉🎉🎉

Chartered with the South Bay Fire Department, Pack 32 begins a new chapter—stronger, energized, and ready for adventure. This moment is possible only because of the incredible people who refused to let the Pack’s story end.

We are deeply grateful.

Now, with renewed purpose and a vibrant community behind us, we look forward with excitement. New experiences, new friendships, and new memories await. The return of Pack 32 is more than a restart—it is a celebration of resilience, togetherness, and the spirit of Scouting!!!
