Syracuse City Ballet is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing ballet access to all! The company employs professional dancers from Syracuse, across the United States and the world. We create family-oriented entertainment while offering opportunities for local professional, pre-professional, and student dancers to perform
classical and premiere works with national and international guest artists. With the changes in 2020, our Digital Season has redefined our mediums and reach. We are delighted to cater to all age groups, with dance and fitness content that allows everyone, from toddlers to seniors, an opportunity to become familiar with the transformative art of dance. A vibrant arts community encourages collaboration, instills local pride, draws people together, and is essential to a community’s vitality. Syracuse City Ballet contributes to the richness of Central New York’s cultural palette by providing first class ballet presence. Our growth from a small grass-roots venture to a professional company has allowed us to create a familiar presence in Central New York. Previous to COVID-19, we took dance around the schools and nursing homes of our city. Our school tours and after school programs, allowed underprivileged youth access to dance classes and demonstrations, normally not available to them. Our Nutcracker season yearly includes a Sensory Friendly performance that permits everyone to have a fantastic theater experience.
