I can’t believe it! These two are still with NHPR and waiting for their perfect ending. ❤️ Caviar (black) and her brother Chanel. Their brothers have already made it their new homes 🏡. Even their momma Bougie has been adopted!

Their mom, Bougie, tested FeLV+, but all kittens tested negative at 8 weeks old, which is wonderful news. ❤️

Because of their exposure, it is recommended that they either:
- go to homes where they are the only cats for now, or
- be kept separated from other cats until follow-up testing fully confirms their negative status.

As always, we encourage adopters to consult with their veterinarian for the best guidance and ongoing testing recommendations.

These babies are playful, loving, loyal — they just want toys, cuddles, and a family to call their own. 🐱💕

After the first 25, we are requesting a $10 donation per animal to help support our mission.

While we will gladly accept walk-ups, we would greatly appreciate advance registrations so we can plan accordingly and accommodate as many pets as possible.

🐾 Meet Madoc! 🐾

At 6 years old, Madoc has mastered some of life's simple pleasures: a good walk, a comfy car ride, and plenty of attention from his favorite people.

This handsome guy does great with a harness and loves getting out to explore. When meeting someone new, he may give a little "huff" to let you know he's checking things out, but once he realizes he's welcome, his tail starts wagging and he's ready to soak up all the pets and affection you can give.

Madoc is looking for a family that will appreciate his sweet personality, loyal nature, and love of adventure. Whether it's a ride around town or a stroll through the neighborhood, he's happiest spending time with his people.

A blue-green algal bloom at Syracuse Community Beach was found to have a microcystin toxin level of 10.63 parts per billion, which is over the Indiana Department of Environmental Management's safety threshold for humans.

Those near the water should exercise caution as ingestion and prolonged contact with the bloom can cause adverse health effects. Animals have a lower tolerance to the toxin so pet owners are encouraged to keep their pets out of the water until after the bloom disappears.

Have we introduced you to Spencer? 💕

Spencer is darling tripod missing a front leg. We don't know the history of the leg, but that doesn't seem to slow him down. He is not an overly active boy, but loves short walks, belly rubs, and treats. He allows himself to be picked up for any assistance he needs, like getting on the bed or vet table. He is a good leash walker but does tire easily. He enjoys human interaction. He has been settling into his foster well with other dogs and cats. Spencer has had a hard life and yet he is still so sweet. Spencer is five years old, a terrier mix, and is a fully grown medium sized dog.
