One week down! 💙 And what a fun week it’s been.

We’ve had so much fun getting back into the swing of things this week. Lots of playing, exploring, laughing, learning, and getting to know our new classrooms and friends.

Welcome back, everyone!

The classrooms are coming together, and we’re getting ready for another year at Jowonio. 💙

This week, our staff has been learning together, getting classrooms ready, planning, and doing all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into starting a new school year.

Today and tomorrow, our students get to come in, meet their teachers, and check out their classrooms during visiting days. And then on Monday…we’re back together! We can’t wait to welcome all of our students and families back for another year of learning, playing, and growing! Here we go!

SLPs: are you looking for a little more flexibility in your work life? We’re looking for a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join the Jowonio team this fall!

This is a flexible position, approximately 15 hours a week and a 10-month school calendar. There is a possibility for additional hours as opportunities arise.

What is special about this role? It’s the people. Our SLPs are part of the classroom and part of the team, working alongside teachers, therapists, and families in a school community that is collaborative, inclusive, and genuinely supportive.

If you’re looking for meaningful work without the traditional full-time schedule, this might be a good fit.

What does Physical Therapy look like at Jowonio?

It looks like therapy that happens where children naturally are: in classrooms, on the playground, at Trike Town, and along Sarah's Path, our nature trail. We have an exceptionally well equipped treatment space including partial weight support fall prevention harness system and an extensive adaptive equipment lending library.

It looks like collaborating with teachers, families, and an experienced team of therapists.

It looks like a 10-month school calendar, 3 weeks of PTO, paid professional development, and the option to work our 6-week summer program.

We’re hiring a Physical Therapist! If you’re looking for a workplace that’s collaborative, inclusive, and a little different from the typical preschool setting, we’d love to hear from you.
