TOMORROW! United Way of NNY's Community Food Drive makes its way to ! 💛 Bring nutritious non-perishables to support individuals and families served by the North Country emergency food access system.

All donations will be distributed at pantries locally within St. Lawrence County, helping to fill plates and hearts this summer season. 🍽️

This , we're proud to highlight one of several incredible partners who continue to uplift our mission and expand our offering of nutritious foods for communities in need. 🥰🥛

The team at Chobani has donated over 8.8 million pounds of dairy to the Food Bank since 2011, often in the form of yogurt and other products! In addition to their impact across our service area, Chobani works to support neighbors where their facility operates in Chenango County. 💛

The emergency food access network is massive, working to reach neighbors at the right place and time, with the right nutrition. Our dairy partners help us fulfill that promise to communities each day.

For Every Neighbor. 🍏 At the Food Bank, we believe that everyone deserves to live a healthy, nourished life. 🌟 With our LGBTQ+ neighbors experiencing food insecurity at higher rates than many others, we remain dedicated to creating and supporting vital food access programs for all. We work to ensure safe, welcoming access to nutritious foods, nutrition programming, and SNAP eligibility assistance, and are focused on understanding the unique experiences of each individual in our community and delivering support with dignity. 💛

Neighbors helping neighbors! 🤝 Last week's Community Food Drive with United Way of NNY collected over 16,200 food and personal care items to help stock the shelves of 22 food pantries local to and Counties.

Individual donors, volunteers, local businesses and servicemembers from U.S. Army Fort Drum & 10th Mountain Division came together to make this collaboration a success! Food Bank of Central New York is proud to support our North Country partners in creating a food-secure future for their neighbors.

What's next? The Community Food Drive will move to St. Lawrence County next week with another incredible opportunity for communities to give! Keep an eye out on our socials for more.

Visit fbcny.org/pin-safety to learn how to change your card’s personal identification number BEFORE funds are distributed on June 15!

This drive-thru-style pickup is conveniently located near major highways, accessible for all order sizes, and requires no heavy-lifting on your part. Just sit back while we pack your vehicle!

Lifting our communities (literally)! We all know and love the Food Bank's Operations staff, a team dedicated to the safe movement of nutritious foods in and out of our distribution facility. 💪 What many people don't know is that our warehouse utilizes FOUR different kinds of forklifts (and a whole lot of elbow grease) to get the job done.

In order to certify with each type of lift, staff are required to undergo comprehensive video and hands-on training, a written exam, and a final observation test. Some are OSHA-approved across several machines, and all are required to recertify every three years. ✅

20,000,000+ pounds of nutritious food, household, and hygiene items aren't going to move themselves. This , we're proud to highlight the colleagues getting the job done.
