This month’s Central New York Chapter of the Alliance for Retired Americans meeting featured great guest speakers, thoughtful conversation, and a strong sense of community. It is always inspiring to be in a room with people who care deeply about improving our communities, protecting workers, and supporting the labor movement.

These meetings are a great opportunity to connect, learn, and stay engaged on the issues impacting working families and retirees across our region.

The Central New York Chapter of the Alliance for Retired Americans meets every first Friday of the month at the NYSUT Headquarters in Syracuse, and the meetings are open to everyone. We hope to see even more folks join the conversation in the months ahead.

Proud to be at the graduation of the 1st Class of 2026 Syracuse Fire Fighters Local 280 I.A.F.F. This is the first group of firefighters to be sworn in under Syracuse Mayor Sharon Owens. Congratulations to Union President, Lt. Michael Perotti, and all the recruits. We send our support to our new Union Brothers. In solidarity!
