Since 2010, Hopeprint has been an active neighbor of the Northside neighborhood of Syracuse, NY. In our founding documents, filed that same year, we articulated a mission of โfacilitating sustainable development of under-resourced people/communities, both locally and internationally, in the areas of economy, health, leadership, education and justice.โ While Hopeprint has carried out that mission in a variety of ways over the last decade plus, we have circled back to the heart of this, leaning more fully into what it means to be an equitable, asset-based community development organization. Hopeprint is committed to the people who live in or frequent the neighborhoods where we have member partners hard at work. Our member partners are local leaders championing their passion projects for the good of their local community, and at Hopeprint, we get the opportunity simply to provide them with operational support, capacity building, resource matchmaking, and collaborative advocacy efforts. Moreover, we believe that public spaces ought to be for the public good in the communities where we are invested. Alongside of our member partners, we advocate with the local government and caretakers of those community spaces to make them so. For the past several years, members of the Hopeprint network have been able to access community navigation supports towards one thriving goal at a time. Now, all residents of Hopeprintโs Syracuse Northside microneighborhood will be able to find community navigation supports at the Hopeprint Living Room by appointment, seeking to provide hot handoff connections and companionship to our neighbors in accessing the best fit resources our community has to offer.
