Today we welcomed another new member to Syracuse Inner City Rotary Club. Joshua Bruska has already attended several meetings and has participated in two service projects. We're looking forward to having him as a member. Our President, Janelle Kraus, gave him his Rotary pin.

It was another busy weekend for our Syracuse Inner City Rotary Club. We helped kick-off a summer music program that gives kids and young adults the opportunity to receive free music lessons and the chance to play an instrument. The Club also contributed towards Blessings in a Backpack, sponsored through Bellevue Heights United Methodist Church. The Dash 4 Delaware event raises funds for food for children at this local school.

Not only does the Syracuse Inner City Rotary Club have regular meetings and participate in regular service projects, they also aim to get together socially once a month. Whomever's available shows up and members often bring friends or prospective members. Last week on Thursday, we had a mixture of returning prospective members, new prospects, and club members. Plus member Ginny's husband was celebrating a birthday. Delicious Kentucky Mule and fried chicken!

A large group of members from Syracuse Inner City Rotary Club attended the Syracuse Onondaga County NAACP "Freedom in Our Time" dinner. As an award winner from last year, our club heartily congratulates the honorees of the evening. A special shout out to Mayor Sharon Owens for an engaging keynote speech emphasizing our continuing fight for the right to vote.
