CNY Film Professionals is a non-profit designed to grow the capacity, economic sustainability, and inclusivity of the film, television, commercial, and new-media production industry in Central New York. CNY's film production industry is seeing some exciting action. We have one of the most generous tax incentives in the world. We have high-end film production facilities. We have architectural and

geographical diversity. We have four whole seasons. And we're just a 2-hour flight from NYC, Boston, Toronto, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia. To fully realize our region's potential, CNY Film Professionals is training workforce and aggregating resources to properly service this industry. WHAT WE DO:

CNY Film Professionals operates the Syracuse Film Office website - SYRfilm.org. CNY Film Professionals helps production companies find the crew and resources needed for their projects. CNY Film Professionals offers job training, career-building, professional promotion, notifications of job opportunities, and industry-related events. To achieve sustainable economic development in this sector, CNY Film Professionals has built an alliance of regional personnel and organizations involved in the industry. CNY Film Professionals is leading a workforce development program to include and prepare more CNY residents in the burgeoning industry. GET INVOLVED! Here's how:

- Become a member of CNY Film Professionals at www.cnyfilm.com/membership.html. In addition to receiving membership benefits to help you progress your career, you will be supporting the mission to grow the film industry in the region.

From a NYC-based production company filming a documentary at Fort Drum, NY, on Jan 28-29 (next week):

“We’re looking for a sound op, with sound kit, for a non-union, for an all-*outdoor* all day, documentary shoot in Fort Drum, NY next week: Jan.28-29.

We’re going to be shooting outside the entire day running around with the army while they train/do drills/shoot in shooting ranges.

Would love to find someone close enough that they can commute in and home each day.

Labor: $650/12
Kit: $350/day (2 mics needed, boom, plus regular sound kit)”
