Last week, the CR-PRC had the privilege to attend CADCA Mid-Year in Orlando, Florida to attend sessions and network with coalitions and prevention providers, along with those we have worked with in NYS.

Join us IN-PERSON for Prevention Ethics. This is a 7 hour in-person training created by SAMHSA centered around the six principles of prevention ethics. Prevention professionals are required to take ethics within their first year of hire. In this training you will learn the six principles, how they tie into prevention work, and how to apply them.

Reminder that our first annual Pride Networking Workshop is happening next Friday, 6/26!

There will be networking time to talk to people working in prevention across the 13 counties of Central New York, craft stations, a cultural competency training centered on working with LGBTQ+ populations, and more!

We hope to see you there! :)

Join us for the CR-PRC’s very first Pride Networking Workshop! We’re excited to have an afternoon focused on connection, learning, and celebration.

During this event, participants will take part in an LGBTQ+ Cultural Competency Training designed to encourage understanding, inclusivity, and meaningful conversations. There will also be opportunities to network with others in the community, build new connections, and share resources in a welcoming and supportive environment. To wrap things up, attendees can enjoy relaxing mindfulness crafts and creative activities.

The workshop will take place on Friday, June 26th from 12:00 PM–2:00 PM at our office located at 538 Erie Blvd W, Syracuse, NY 13204. Registration is highly encouraged so we can plan accordingly and ensure a great experience for everyone. We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating Pride together!
