A new school year brings excitement, new opportunities, and for many families, additional financial challenges.
This year, Mother’s and Children in Crisis was proud to support the children participating in the Onondaga County problem-solving courts program through our Back-to-School initiative.
Because every child deserves to walk into the classroom feeling prepared, confident, and supported, we provided children with essential items to help them start the school year on the right foot—including:
👟 New sneakers
🎒 Backpacks and school essentials
🧴 Toiletries and personal care items
A New Outfit, socks and undergarments.
Books and a grocery gift card.
While the families and children we serve remain anonymous, their needs—and the impact of a caring community—are very real.
Programs like this remind us that supporting children is about more than providing supplies. It is about creating a sense of belonging, dignity, confidence, and opportunity for children and families as they move forward.
We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Onondaga County Problem-solving court system and to play a small part in helping local children begin the school year feeling ready for what lies ahead.
💙 Together, we can make a difference—one child, one family, and one opportunity at a time.
