Second chances can transform lives, and directly impacted people should be at the center of the conversation.

CCA joined a screening of Beyond at Columbia Business School, where CCA Organizer Ismael Diaz and CCA members Jayette Lansbury and Heather Campbell shared information about the Communities Not Cages bills.

The accompanying panel, featuring Dr. Geraldine Downey, Michael Tineo, Mujahideen Muhammad, and Rachel Rubenstein, explored transformation, reentry, and second chances, with Mujahideen speaking about the importance of the Second Look Act.

They joined 3,500 volunteers from more than 100 organizations for Rochester’s 20th annual Clean Sweep, helping clean and care for neighborhoods across the city.
