Millwright Local 1163 is proud to share that our Business Representative, Ted Wightman, has been appointed to the Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA) Board of Directors!

Ted’s appointment brings labor representation back to the board, ensuring that the voices of skilled union tradespeople are heard when it comes to economic development and major projects in our region.

Ted’s leadership, work ethic, and commitment to union values make him the right person for the job, and we’re proud to see him represent not only Local 1163 but all working men and women across Upstate New York.

Millwright Local 1163 has upcoming conveyor work starting this summer on a long-term project in Western New York.

🕒 Schedule: 6 days a week, 10-hour shifts (6/10s)

💰 Journeyman Wage: $42.23/hr

📦 Total Package: $74.52/hr

🧰 Apprentices will be paid at their appropriate level

❌ No per diem or travel pay

The Republican Study Committee’s budget proposal for 2025 includes a federal income tax on employer-sponsored health insurance. This means that good, quality, union health insurance would become taxable income, which either raises our members’ taxes OR reduces their benefits.
