Another successful Sandwich Saturday with We Rise Above The Streets Recovery Outreach Inc.

This sisterhood is so strong that alumni come back and help be a part of the change!

The girls held a feminine product drive and purchased socks and under garments for the homeless community.

We’re so proud of the ways that ! Juniors and seniors from the PSLA at Fowler High School ‘I AM ME’ group recently attended a Spring Bazaar in Liverpool to customize and sell jewelry for the public. The young women raised more than $500 – which they are using to support the three charities they’re working with this year: House of Psalms 23, Vera House, Inc., and We Rise Above The Streets Recovery Outreach Inc..

“The girls were excited to see teachers from teachers from PSLA and the community support their mission,” advisor Brenda Buckley shared. “It was awesome to see them speak about the purpose of the group, how I AM ME has helped them personally, and what they have contributed to the community. I am so proud of them!”

Today the girls learned a new skill and made paintings for apartments to help woman in need get back on their feet!

Yesterday we were out in the community with the House of Paslms 23 delivering items from the silent auction for a charity event. We are so pumped to start a partnership with this awesome organization and help our community.

It is powerful how much you can do when you team up with others.

After the deliveries, we went to a local book store, picked out books for each other, and caught up on some coffee and sweets.

If you have not checked Parthenon Books we highly recommend it. It’s one of our favorite local places.
