A Buffalo Fire Fighter has made the ultimate sacrifice. While battling a blaze in the city's downtown area, around 10am Wednesday a four-alarm fire broke out in a 3 story building. While firefighters were inside, a backdraft sent flames shooting out of the building, leaving a firefighter trapped inside. Our hearts go out to our brothers and sisters at the Buffalo Fire Department.

We all want to stay warm, but we respond to more home fires in the winter months. Use space heaters and generators cautiously and according to the guidelines provided with the equipment.

Pictures from the health and safety seminar which was held on Friday February 16th at the Pastime Athletic Club.
The Guest speakers were Peter Caruso D/C of Utica FD (Retired). Eugene Stolowski (pictured) 24-year Veteran Firefighter of the FDNY. Mike Dugan Captain FDNY (Retired). Topics ranged from 2 1/2 story framed buildings, tactics, PTSD, operations, etc...
This seminar was open to all members of the NYSPFFA. Thank you to all our guest speakers and all who attended.
