Unfortunately we couldn’t make the Yankees game yesterday, but my motto made the board.

Thank you to State Secretary Renee for getting the picture.

Hope everyone that attended had a great time.

Continuing our individual lodge visits throughout the South Central District, last night brought us to Sidney Lodge #2175 for their monthly Steak Night!

It was wonderful to see a sold-out crowd, and the delicious steak dinner certainly did not disappoint!

Joining us for the evening were PSP Phil Holowacz, PSP Cam Ricci, former First Lady Jo-Ann, Mohawk Valley State Trustee Chuck Panko and his wife Maria, South Central State Vice President Josh Bell and his wife Charlotte, and State Trustee Tim Sayers and his wife Peggy.

It was a wonderful evening filled with great food, fellowship, and conversation. We always enjoy the opportunity to spend time with our fellow Elks and visit the lodges right here in our home district.

Thank you to everyone at Sidney Lodge for your warm hospitality and for making us feel so welcome. We look forward to returning and to continuing our travels throughout the South Central District as we Step Up and Shine together throughout the year!

Our final stop of the weekend brought us to Ithaca Lodge #636, where we were greeted by Exalted Ruler Jordan Rosenbaum. We enjoyed a beautiful brunch featuring scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, eggs Benedict, croissant breakfast sandwiches, cinnamon buns, toast, English muffins, mini muffins, and fresh fruit—complete with an impressive elk head carved into a watermelon!

The building, a former restaurant, has several smaller spaces, including a bar, center room, front dining area, and a shared lodge/banquet room. Each space was clean, nicely updated, and very welcoming.

It was also wonderful to see such a fantastic turnout from lodges throughout the district, not only at Ithaca today, but throughout the entire weekend. It was especially wonderful to see PSP Rick back on his feet and able to join us all weekend long!

Thank you to Jordan and everyone at Ithaca Lodge #636 for the warm welcome and wonderful brunch—a great way to wrap up our weekend!

We’d like to give a very special shout-out and heartfelt thank you to SVP Dave Carlson and his wife, Nancy, for arranging such a fun-filled second visitation weekend for us. We had an absolutely fabulous time and truly appreciate all the time, thought, and effort you put into making the weekend so memorable!

And last but certainly not least, a big thank you to District Deputy Ron Dailey for all of his help throughout the weekend as well. We truly appreciate everything you all did to make our visit so enjoyable!

Penn Yan Lodge #1722 was our final stop of the day, where Exalted Ruler Heather Neuberger greeted us and showed us all the renovations they’ve completed since our visit last year. The hallway and banquet room look fantastic—so clean, fresh, and updated with all new flooring, electrical, walls, and ceiling. What a transformation!

We were then treated to one of our most favorite Italian dinners—a wedge salad, fresh Italian bread, chicken parmesan, cavatappi pasta, and green beans, followed by cannolis and Biscoff cheesecake cups for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious!

Thank you to Heather and everyone at Penn Yan Lodge #1722 for the warm hospitality, wonderful meal, and a great ending to our Saturday!

Between lodge visits, we made a few fun stops along the way, including Sauders Market, The Windmill, and Keuka Candy Emporium. We also enjoyed some time relaxing at Ginny and Jamie Sisson’s beautiful home on Keuka Lake.

Our first stop on Saturday took us to Seneca Falls Lodge #992, where ER Bryan Kettle and Secretary Patty greeted us and gave us a tour of the lodge and property. They recently completed renovations to their lodge and banquet space, and it looks fantastic!

A wonderful breakfast was prepared for us which included scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and a delicious French toast bake—we even got the recipe!

The lodge sits on an impressive 17 acres, maintained by a dedicated three-member lawn crew that rotates the upkeep. The canal runs along the back of the property, complete with a dock, and the spacious grounds also feature two pavilions, horseshoe pits, bocce ball courts, and a volleyball net.

Thank you to everyone at Seneca Falls Lodge #992 for the warm welcome, wonderful breakfast, and hospitality!

The first lodge visit of the weekend brought us to Newark Lodge #1249, where Exalted Ruler John MacTaggart greeted us and took us upstairs to check out their newest addition—an impressive elk mount they recently acquired. Funny enough, he picked it up in Maine, NY, a stones throw away from where we live!

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner of chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, salad, and sliced Italian bread. There was a great turnout, and we really enjoyed the evening of fellowship with everyone at the lodge.

Thank you to ER John and everyone at Newark Lodge #1249 for the warm welcome, delicious dinner, and great evening!
