Operation Big Book Bag is coming up! 💛📚

Join the Theta Omicron Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. as we support local students through our Project Reassurance Program, Operation Big Book Bag!

In partnership with Syracuse Reads, Roberts Elementary School, and the Theta Omicron Sigma Philo Affiliate, we’re preparing to provide local youth with backpacks and essential school supplies to help them start the school year prepared and ready to succeed. ✏️📓

We need your support to make it happen! We’re currently seeking monetary donations to help us fill backpacks and provide students with the tools they need for a successful school year. Every contribution makes a difference as we continue building futures, one backpack at a time.

The Theta Omicron Sigma Alumnae Chapter proudly represented at the 61st Biennial Boule of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., joining thousands of Sorors from across the world for a week of sisterhood, leadership, service, and business.

From impactful sessions and meaningful connections to celebrating our legacy while preparing for the future, Boule reminded us that Greater Service, Greater Progress is more than a motto—it’s a commitment we carry back to our communities.

From academic achievement and entrepreneurship to service, leadership, and character, we were honored to celebrate young people who continue to make a positive impact in our communities. Congratulations to each of our scholarship recipients, Book Awardees, and Youth Award honorees. Your dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence inspire us all.

In May, the Theta Omicron Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. proudly hosted SWIM 1922, one of our sorority’s national service programs, welcoming youth from across our community for a day dedicated to water safety, education, and empowerment.

Thank you to every family, volunteer, instructor, and community partner who helped make this event a success. Together, we continue our commitment to expanding access to water safety education and equipping our community with skills that can save lives—one swimmer at a time.

Update: Due to forecasted rain, the clean up has been moved to tomorrow, Sunday, April 26th.

We’ll be gathering at 9:00 AM at the Inner Harbor Waterfront Pavilion, where we’ll break into groups to clean the surrounding area before regrouping around 10:00 AM.

Gloves and trash bags will be provided—just bring your energy and commitment to service 💙💛

This service project is open to the public, so invite a friend and come make an impact!
