Syracuse Cultural Workers is looking for a dynamic, creative person to join our leadership team to help us meet the political moment, and prepare for the future. The position involves hands-on work in fulfillment as well as management, ensuring that the organization’s operations align with our social and political goals.

For decades, SCW has created quality, beautiful, agitational artwork, imagery and products to support feminist and progressive movements. We are part of a national community of activists, organizers and artists, and pride ourselves on a collaborative work environment and commitment to a “long-haul” vision of social change work. We are in a period of growth as people across the country rise up against the threat of fascism.

Please take a few minutes to read this powerful report about the annual commemoration of the Canandaigua Treaty held earlier this month. Sean Kirst is one of the most thoughtful non-Indigenous chroniclers of this history and current struggles for Indigenous sovereignty.

At an annual remembrance, generational witnesses to the flesh-and-blood commitments of a treaty.

From our friends at Syracuse Cultural Workers.

For us, Native Heritage Month is more than an appreciation of the many contributions of Indigenous Peoples to our world today. Particular today, when efforts to literally Whitewash history abound, celebrating the many cultures and traditions which enrich our communities and world is so important. ☀️

It's a great time to change the narrative from one of conquest and white supremacy to multiculturalism and sovereignty. 🍁🍂

To create real change, we need concrete action for justice, healing, respect for sovereignty and to protect Mother Earth. 🌎
