First, it is our mission to provide love a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts Since September of 2000, when the Onondaga County Chapter was started, until January 2021 a total of 22,843 blankets, afghans and quilts have been delivered to children who needed a “special hug”. TAPS – a camp for children who have lost a parent on active duty in the military
