Greater Harvest Network of Churches & Ministries, Inc. has been a little quiet, but we have not stopped working.
Over the last several months, much of our attention has been focused on strengthening the work right here at home through Fountain of Life Redeem House of God Inc & United Church of Auburn.
Sometimes before you can expand the vision, you have to make sure the foundation at home is strong.
We have been working to strengthen our local church, rebuild our ministry, develop our leadership and administration, and create new opportunities for people to connect with the church.
But our work has also gone far beyond Sunday morning.
Through RHOG Inc., we have expanded our community outreach and human services work. We have developed transitional and recovery housing opportunities for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, transitioning from treatment, recovery, and other difficult circumstances.
We have also been developing Fountain Social Care Network to connect individuals and families with needed resources, including social care navigation, housing support, transportation, and other community-based services.
We have been building new community partnerships, strengthening relationships with local organizations, working to expand our outreach, and finding new ways for the church to meet both the spiritual and practical needs of people.
We have launched a new church website and strengthened the way people can connect with our church, our programs, and our community work.
We are also continuing to invest in ministry development, church administration, leadership training, preaching, workshops, and opportunities to help churches and ministry leaders become stronger.
So yes, GHNCM has been quiet for a moment.
But we have been working.
We believe that before we tell other churches how to build, we should be willing to do the work in our own local church. Before we talk about community impact, we should be making an impact in our own community.
GHNCM is still here.
The vision is still alive.
The network is still growing.
The work is still moving forward.
And what we have been building locally is helping prepare us for the next season of Greater Harvest Network of Churches & Ministries.
We are excited about what is ahead, and in the coming months you will begin hearing more from GHNCM as we continue connecting churches, developing leaders, strengthening ministries, and working the harvest together.
