Ever wonder how many children were unable to celebrate their birthday because it was overlooked or simply because their parents couldn't afford a cake? While at work, the Dietary department was hosting a contest for each department to donate birthday supplies. I had just celebrated by Twins 1/2 birthday and donated all the leftovers (there was a ton). I asked Dietary's manager who was hosting the
contest what they're doing with it all. She went on to say that she puts together small gift sets with party supplies along with a boxed cake mix and frosting to donate to those who cannot afford to do so themselves. ANDDDD that's when it hit me....I'm a baker! I can actually bake the cakes! Then I got thinking...I can't possibly do all these cakes while working full-time, running my bakery business and being a mommy of twins. I reached out to some other local bakers and they loved the idea and agreed to volunteer their time and services in helping. We're all parents and understand completely that times (especially now with COVID-19) are rough and sometimes we as parents cannot do everything ourselves. We're here to help make your little one be able to enjoy the one day out of the year that is dedicated strictly for them. Every child deserves to feel special on their birthday, especially with a cake! Our mission is to give individual youths ranging from the ages of 1-18 at least one special moment that is solely about them. Cuse Tiers is a nonprofit organization that gives underprivileged youth the chance to have a birthday by matching volunteers to bake special cakes just for them. Cuse Tiers does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, religion, s*x, s*xual orientation, gender expression, physical or mental ability, veteran status, military obligations and marital status.
