Winner and runners up!

It’s with great joy to announce the winners of our 2023 True Beauty Foundation’s Fashion Without Limits program at Syracuse University’s Fashion Design Program!
1st place 🥇 and our two impressive runner ups 🏆
All inspiringly stepped up their design game with their well constructed and innovative cocktail dress designs for the challange set before them for their celebrity inspo clients (Flex Mami, Nicola Coughlin and the one and only Ashley Graham) to wear to the CFDA Awards!

Additionally, the day wouldn’t have been complete without celebrating Prof. ChaCha N. Hudson and her efforts, passion and dedication for her work with her students to fully embrace the principles of inclusive fashion. My goodness it certainly showed!!

Special thanks goes to professors, Jeffrey Mayer, and Todd Conover for their vision and insight 10 years ago when it all began ✨FWL at Syracuse Unversity🙏✨
And to our talented Goddess Statue creator: Cat Ayers .ayers.glass

This year we had a record 17 talented junior fashion design students and their wonderfully creative designs to choose from — no easy feat!

I am thrilled, excited and ever so proud to see the advancement around inclusive fashion at Syracuse Unversity’s fashion design!! You all are changing how fashion is being reflected at it’s very core!

Today, especially now, requires a proactive full-court press and all-hands-on-deck deeper collaboration within the ED community on behalf of our present and future generations, to ask for an increased set of preventative accountability measures of our local and federal government, social media and corporate industries, educational systems, entertainment and medical industries to provide checks and balances honoring the Hippocratic oath: “above all do no harm”.

The result: bringing more joy into millions of lives and less suffering at the hands of eating disorders.

Eating disorders are very serious and can be fatal if left unaddressed. Eating disorders have the second highest mortality rate out of all mental health disorders, second to opioid addiction.

Special thanks to the very humble + soulful early leaders and a small group of dedicated ED doctors, specialists, psychologists, therapists, nutritionists and centers when they gathered 30 years ago with the intent to prevent eating disorders as many ways possible and NEDA was born.

Team work really does make the dream work.
