Our chapter, the Syosset Garden Club (hereinafter SGC), was founded on November 6, 1948. We are a member of the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State and of the National Council of State Garden Clubs. We also encourage sustainable gardening practices which can improve our environment locally.
SGC was begun by the women residents of Syosset, NY, because of an interest in nature and beauty in their own gardens and the public and private gardens around them. We support many local arboretums and community gardens.
