A Night of Honor at Worth Lodge #194

Worth Lodge #194 F&AM gathered for a memorable evening as the Brethren celebrated three distinguished members who each received their 50‑Year Masonic Service Award. Brothers Alton Garvin Fowler, Robert Van Powell, and David Griffin Taylor were recognized for five decades of unwavering dedication to the Craft, a milestone that reflects both personal commitment and the enduring strength of our fraternity.

The awards were formally presented by Worshipful Brothers Gene Jernigan and Larry Manley, both serving as District Deputies to the Grand Master (DDGM). Their presence underscored the significance of the occasion and added an extra measure of honor to the ceremony.

The room was filled with fellowship, heartfelt congratulations, and reflections on the countless contributions these Brothers have made over the years—mentoring new members, supporting Lodge endeavors, and exemplifying the principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.

The evening closed with warm handshakes, photos, and a shared sense of pride. It was a night that honored the past, strengthened the present, and reminded all in attendance of the legacy we continue to uphold at Worth Lodge #194.

On April 28th Worth Lodge 194 partnered with Ruth’s Cottage and The Patticake House and Worth County Family Connections and together hosted a training to bring awareness to Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children.

This was a 2 hour training focused on the statistics here in Georgia, how agencies are fighting against the commercial sexual abuse of children, how those survivors are being served, and how to notice potential signs early on to prevent.

In attendance were representatives from our District Attorney’s Office, local Law Enforcement, Department of Family Children Services, Medical, Mental Health, Community members, and Lodge members. This training offered CEU hours and Post hours to all participants.
