The Faithful Fabricators had some fun tonight learning to adapt this whistling, motorized, light up snail toy. (Caution, don't have your speakers up too loud!) Next week we'll refine the process and document the steps as another adaptable toy in our collection. We're also back into TMT production and are excited to build more of these incredible devices for our local community!

Enjoyed our visit to Sunshine Communities new Tech House! It's like the IKEA of Assistive Tech - each room was carefully thought out and filled with interesting assistive technology. No matter your level of experience with adapted tools you are very likely to learn about and experience compelling technology solutions you've never seen in person before. For me, seeing an Obi in person (robot with spoon) was the definitive highlight of the house.

Wrapped up version 2 of an adapted pedal protoype for a tricycle user named Jariyah. We're pretty close on this attempt! Next revision should be the keeper. Used Anthropic's Claude Code which is steeply discounted for non-profits. Once the MCP server was set up I had a conversation with Claude about the design goals, constraints, and desired parameters and then we co-authored a fully parameterized design in Fusion. This workflow is an interesting one that I'll likely repeat as we seek to create additional new device designs that we make available to the community at no cost.

The Faithful Fabricators recently completed a playset for a local family as part of Five Lakes Church Make A Difference month. Each July we intentionally go out as a church and serve the community with the skills and talents that God provides using the situations and opportunities that He also provides. This was a challenging build that required problem solving, humility, and various talents across the whole group. Each Fabricator contributed with at least one major solution to blockers - proud of my crew and so happy to meet a great family that we had the privilege to serve!

TMT 11 is complete! Coco and her family dropped by the Five Lakes Life Center and it was great to meet them and see Coco using her new TMT ❤️. We even got a little soldering done in preparation for our upcoming Sunshine Communities Tech House visit.

Completed a request for adapted toys and new accessibility switches for a patient family at Toledo - thanks to Marina for connecting us to the need!

Adapting toys is fun! Want to learn the basics of safely disassembling a toy, circuit diagnosis, and soldering? Contact us and we'd love to coordinate a free workshop with you to learn these skills!

Delivery Day! These two TMTs found their way to Kacie and Azari this afternoon with help from our friend Abe who helped us build our initial pipeline of children to serve - we are very grateful for Abe! I'll always remember Kacie's TMT build as the one with help from our special guests that evening. I learned something about Kacie, if you sing the song "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" she is overcome with joy. Azari had a smile on her face the entire time we visited! Can't think of a better way to spend a Friday afternoon!!

Honored to be selected as a recipient of a Community Partnership Award by at the Access Summit yesterday - looking forward to further growing this relationship and solutions we can provide to the community free of charge. We were also honored to be on the panel sharing our perspective on our community impact and the current accessible toys and devices landscape.

We ended an incredible day with a milestone - our 10th TMT was picked up by Forest and his family at the Five Lakes Maker Space🎉🎉. WTOL covered this milestone pickup and is helping us get the word out on the need for more Makers! There are 54 more children just like Forest within a 3 hour drive from Toledo who need this exact solution and are waiting for someone to raise their hand and build this wheelchair using a standard 3d printer. What a BEAUTIFUL day for this assembly project! Thanks to for connecting us with Ben and his daughter Oceana on this swingset build. We had an absolute blast and appreciated the hospitality we were offered. Enjoy your new swingset Oceana!
