A few weeks ago, we went to Twin Rivers cook-o-ree. It was the first camping trip for 5 cross over scouts. We ended up doing really well including biscuits and gravy from scratch, great pies, and many other great dishes. Lots of work but we came home with the spirit stick and many awards. Great weekend even with a heavy wind and being very cold in the morning for the end of March.

Some exiciting news. As of last Thursday we have become a family troop. What that means is we are COED and are the only place in Camden to allow girls to join. We had our first two crossovers on Saturday. The pack and crew have had coed options for a while but we were not allowed by Scouting America until mid December.

Three things I’m asking for from this group.

1. Get the word out if any girls are looking we are accepting. We also take any boys that are looking.

2. If you are a female at least 21 years old and want to camp, consider registering as a leader.

3. If you don’t agree with this decision, please keep it to yourself. It’s not going to change the path going forward and isn’t helpful.

Working the Lions Club oyster roast. Very positive comments from all involved.

Not often do we wake up to snow in Georgia. Even less often in a tent.
