💙 Wear Blue Fridays – June 💙

This June, we’re wearing blue every Friday to support men and boys’ mental health—including those impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault.
Too many men carry trauma in silence due to stigma and lack of awareness. Wearing blue is a simple way to show solidarity, start conversations, and remind survivors that support and understanding matter.

Join us. Wear blue. Stand for healing, awareness, and hope.

Centering Teen Voices Strengthens Our Communities

In our ways, youth are sacred relatives—carriers of future generations, stories, and responsibilities. When we speak about teen pregnancy, we must do so with care, humility, and a willingness to listen to our teens, especially those who have experienced violence, coercion, or harm.

Too often, decisions are made about our youth instead of with them.
“People made assumptions about me without knowing what I went through. I just wanted someone to listen and believe me.”
— Teen survivor (shared anonymously)

When we center teen voices, we honor truth:
• Teen pregnancy is not always a choice
• Violence and power imbalances impact young lives
• Access to care and education is not equal
• Support rooted in culture and community makes a difference
Supporting our teens means:
🤍 Believing their stories
🤍 Creating safe, trauma‑informed spaces
🤍 Teaching consent, respect, and healthy relationships
🤍 Uplifting culture, connection, and community care
Our youth carry strength, wisdom, and resilience.
When we listen to them, we help protect future generations.
Honor youth. Listen with respect. Support with care.

“I wanted someone to listen without judging me. I needed to feel safe enough to tell my truth.”
— Teen survivor (shared anonymously)

Centering teen voices means honoring:
• That pregnancy is not always a choice
• That harm can happen within relationships and systems
• That access to care and protection is not equal
• That community support and cultural connection are medicine
Supporting our teens is a collective responsibility. It looks like:
🤍 Believing their stories
🤍 Protecting their dignity
🤍 Teaching consent, respect, and healthy relationships
🤍 Creating trauma‑informed spaces rooted in culture
🤍 Surrounding youth with relatives, caregivers, and community care
When we listen to our teens, we strengthen families.
When we support survivors, we protect future generations.
Honor our youth. Care for our relatives. Heal as a community.

🚨 The Numbers Tell a Story—And It’s One We Can’t Ignore 🚨

Teen pregnancy and sexual assault are deeply connected issues in the United States. Behind every statistic is a young person whose life, safety, and future were impacted—often without choice, support, or protection.
Too many teens become pregnant as a result of sexual violence, coercion, or lack of access to education and care. This is not about blame—it’s about prevention, accountability, and support.
đź’ˇ Awareness leads to action.
đź’ˇ Education saves futures.
đź’ˇ Support helps survivors heal.
Let’s break the silence, challenge stigma, and advocate for trauma‑informed care, consent education, and survivor‑centered resources.

🤍Our youth deserve safety. Our survivors deserve support.🤍

đź’ś Coping Skills for Survivors đź’ś

Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault
Healing is personal, and it’s okay to go at your own pace. Some gentle coping tools that may help include:
• Grounding through breathing or noticing your surroundings
• Journaling, art, or music to express emotions
• Setting boundaries to protect your peace
• Practicing self‑compassion—what happened is not your fault
• Reaching out to safe, trusted support
You deserve safety, healing, and care. You are not alone.

đź’™ Teen Pregnancy Awareness Month đź’™
Honoring Youth, Families, and Indigenous Communities
May is Teen Pregnancy Awareness Month, a time to uplift our youth and recognize the importance of education, support, and culturally grounded care—especially within Indigenous communities.
Indigenous teens deserve access to:

Accurate, age‑appropriate education
Culturally respectful reproductive and mental health care
Safe, supportive environments to ask questions and make informed choices
Strong connections to family, community, culture, and tradition

Teen pregnancy is not just an individual experience—it is shaped by historical trauma, access to resources, education, and community support. By centering prevention, compassion, and empowerment, we help create healthier futures for our youth and generations to come.
Let’s continue to:
🌱 Support Indigenous youth voices
🌱 Break stigma with education and understanding
🌱 Strengthen community‑based and culturally rooted programs
🌱 Ensure young parents are met with dignity, not judgment
Our youth are sacred. Their futures matter.
Strong youth. Strong families. Strong Nations.
