🦅 Help Us Beautify Fairview! 🦅
We’re excited to give the underutilized covered area near the cafeteria a little love and create a welcoming outdoor space for our Fairview students and staff!
Our goal is to:
🪑 Purchase 12 new picnic tables — $150 each
🔨 Restore 4 existing picnic tables
🎨 Host a Picnic Table Staining Party on a Sunday afternoon in September once the tables are ready!

Every sponsored table brings us one step closer to filling this space!

No donation is too small — contributions will go toward tables, replacement boards, stain, brushes and other supplies needed to complete the project.

One of our greatest needs as we begin the school year is morning car line volunteers. Volunteers are appreciated anytime between 7:15–8 a.m. by helping students safely exit their vehicles, navigating child safety locks and car seats, gathering backpacks, lunch boxes, and water bottles, and helping each child begin the day feeling calm, welcomed, and ready to learn.

Car line is about much more than traffic flow. It helps reduce stress for families during the busy morning rush, increases efficiency, and allows our teachers to begin instruction on time. Just as importantly, it gives our students a friendly face each morning—someone who knows their name, offers a smile, and helps set a positive tone for the day.

Please don’t let the 7:15–8 time frame keep you from volunteering. Whether you can give 30 minutes or an hour, every bit of help makes a difference. You do not have to commit to serving every day. Whether you’re available once a week, once a month, or simply from time to time, we’d love to know of your interest. Having a list of willing volunteers also helps us prepare for days when clubs, special events, or athletic activities require adjustments to our normal arrival procedures. 🦅

Before the school year kicks into full gear, we snuck away for a little river time together. 🦦

Volunteering is about more than meetings and planning—it’s also about building friendships, supporting one another, and remembering to enjoy the community we’re working to serve.

We’re excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to partner with our amazing Fairview families, teachers, and staff. Here’s to a fantastic school year! 🧡🦅

☀️🌊 Before the pencils are sharpened and the first school bell rings, we thought our incredible Fairview faculty deserved a little fun on the Tuckasegee River!

The Fairview PTA was thrilled to help coordinate an afternoon of rafting with our friends at Dillsboro River Company, giving faculty and staff a chance to relax, laugh, build connections, and soak up a little sunshine before the excitement of a new school year begins.

They spend all year pouring into our children, and today was our chance to pour a little encouragement back into them. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to Dillsboro River Company for partnering with us to make this special afternoon possible. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for an amazing school year!

📣 A HUGE THANK YOU to Debbie & Larry Custer for faithfully opening car doors and greeting our Fairview kids each morning — rain or shine ☔️☀️ — for so many years! In addition to opening car doors, they have gone above and beyond in other ways, including serving lunches to our students when help was needed. 🧡

Today was their last day, and we want to celebrate the kindness, dedication, and smiling faces they brought to our school every single day. Their care for our students and families has meant more than words can say. 🤎

Teacher Appreciation Week 2026! 🎉

To our incredible parents, volunteers, and supporters — thank you for your generous donations, time, encouragement, and willingness to help in so many ways. This week would not have happened without you, and we are beyond grateful for your support of our school community. 🖤🧡
