Saturday mornings are hard to beet at the Jackson County Farmers Market this time of year.

The market is overflowing with fresh-picked vegetables, farm-fresh eggs, homemade breads, baked treats, and an incredible variety of handmade goods from local farmers, makers, and artisans. Every week brings something new, and there's nothing quite like shopping directly from the people who grow and create what they sell.

If you've been meaning to stop by, this is your sign. Don't sleep in! We've got coffee to for that early boost to your day.

The Jackson County Farmers Market meets every Saturday from 9:00 AM to Noon in downtown Sylva next to Bridge Park.

follow this arrow to goodness. the jackson county farmers market is in full summer mode. our farmers are all back with local, fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, and honey. our bakers are producing more bread and pastries than you can shake a stick at. our craft vendors are making beautiful hand made items. come see us! saturdays, 9-12:00 at bridge park in sylva.

look what has arrived at the market! market vendor eric legatski of Caney Fork Blueberry Patch is harvesting berries AND has potted blueberry bushes for your home/garden. blueberries are considered a brain food, and when combined with oatmeal…watch out! we are entering superfood territory.

more goodness from the jackson county farmers market…chicken sandwich with microgreens provided by market vendor poppy hill farm, and sliced kohlrabi (which makes a crunchy and delicious side vegetable) provided by market vendor berry’s farm. kohlrabi is in the cabbage family, can be eaten raw or cooked, and has a mild cabbage flavor. kohlrabi leaves are also edible (they’d be real tasty chopped up in a salad). the market is full of fresh, local vegetable…and it is only going to get more abundant as we move into the summer. we meet every saturday, rain or shine, from 9-12:00, at bridge park in sylva.

totally farmers market…market vendors berry’s farm provided the eggs, kohlrabi and onions, and poppy hill farm provided the lettuce and microgreens. it is that time of year, folks…we are up to our eyeballs in fresh vegetables and starter plants for your garden.
