This year’s Harvest Dinner promises to be a delicious and fun event…Sunday, November 15, from 6-8:00, at Innovation in Dillsboro. Like last year, the menu will feature locally sourced ingredients (many from JCFM vendors), and prepared in collaboration between Cullowheegee Farms and Poppy Hill Farm and Kitchen. This is the last fundraising event for 2026…your ticket purchase will ensure Jackson County Farmers Market has a successful 2027.

Vegetables, vegetables, and more vegetables…the fall harvest is in full swing. The market will be full of vegetables tomorrow, October 17. The weather is pleasant. So, grab your shopping bag and come see us - 9-12:00 at Bridge Park, next to LifeWay church. All of our other vendors will be there as well…fresh bread and pastries, local honey, mushrooms, microgreens and ferments, coffee, eggs. The Thai bus will be there with delicious sticky rice + mango, shrimp egg rolls, other yummy stuff. ALSO, some really cool art and crafts.

It’s always beautiful after a hurricane. The Jackson County Farmers Market will be back in business Saturday, October 17, from 9-12:00, at Bridge Park next to LifeWay church. Come see us.

Lunch in 3 easy steps…meet the Carmen pepper, a sweet Italian pepper grown by market vendor Berry Farms.These babies are delicious. Slice them, sauté in a little olive oil, serve on toasted Italian or French bread (pro tip: i take a clove of garlic and abrade it on the toasted bread, before adding the peppers…gives it a bit of garlic flavor). You should get these peppers while the getting is good…the first hard frost will bring these beauties to an end.

We live in a great town! 3rd annual Salsa Showdown was a fun, fun, fun party. Lot’s of friendly people showed up to support the market. Hotdog Sunrise brought their A game. The salsa entries were delicious. The b**r was cold. Thanks to our friends and sponsors, JCFM is on its way to a successful 2027. We have one more fundraising event coming…2nd annual harvest dinner, November 15, at Innovation in Dillsboro.

What a night! Our 3rd Annual Salsa Showdown Competition Fundraiser was an absolute blast, and after tasting 13 unique, delicious, and seriously creative salsas, there could only be one champion…
