So today is my last full day at home with my puppy raisers. I’m going to spend it playing with my BF and enjoying every moment because I know greater things are in store for me. Knowing this my mom took me to a couple different places I hadn’t been yet. The bowling alley - interesting sounds that keep me watching, and the ice rink - the sounds on the ice were fascinating! They were nice and cool and everyone wanted to say hi. I did a lot of greetings.

This week I spent a few days at a puppy sitter's. They are the best people, willing to take care of us puppies in training while are raisers are away. They said something about a huge pawty for my hooman sister - a wedding, i think they said 🍾?!? Anyway, I had a good week! Thanks Kate!

!Announcement!

I have officially received my college entrance letter! I will be going off to college to continue my formal training to become a guide or service dog on September 7th.

I didn’t see my moms this morning… because they went to graduation! The puppy they raised before me (Marley) graduated from the prison and is now a service dog for an amazing veteran. Marley’s already working to help him AND he’s going to have her with him as he does his job… working with other veterans!

Here’s a few pics of me (it’s cooled off some so sitting outside is really nice) as well as a photo of the graduate. Mom talked at graduation about Marley and everyone’s really happy about how well she’s done.

She’s my inspiration and I hope I get to help someone in a year or two!

This weekend I, and many of my puppy friends, had to go to the Guide Dogs of America - Tender Loving Canines campus to have our eyes checked. This is one of the tests we have to pass to become a guide or service dog. I hope I passed. 🤞

I’m at the Main Theater in Santa Clarita with moms, to see “Agatha Christie’s Murder Mystery Dinner Party”. It’s really small but I have my own ticket so I get extra floor space. Yay!
AND I went walking beforehand and travel mom went in to get seats… a cast member came in looking for a bowl because they wanted to make sure a visiting dog had water available!
Talk about hospitality! (But moms always bring my water… super nice of them, though…)

So I've been losing some weight and took Rosie for a walk this morning. ("OH MY GAWD I NEED TO SNIFF EVERY THING!!!")

A dog with his person was approaching so we crossed the street.

Rosie: you da BEST

Me: I’m glad you’re hap…

To my horror, my shorts hit the ground. In the middle of the road.

Me and dog: oh my god!!

Then I realized what the dog already knew: it was not, in fact, my pants, but instead the clasp on the treat bag that gave way. Kibble everywhere.

Me: LEAVE IT! LEAVE IT!!

I’ve never actually heard a dog laugh out loud before but it was kind of muffled by the crunching.
