We're excited to invite all current and former Sykesville Raiders Football & Cheer members to join us as we march in the 2026 Let Freedom Ring 4th of July Parade!

This year's parade theme is "Back to Our Roots," and we can't think of a better way to celebrate than by bringing together generations of Raiders to show our community what it means to be part of our Raider family.

Parade Details

Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Route: Begins at Sykesville Middle School and travels down Springfield Avenue through Historic Main Street.
Whether you're a current player, cheerleader, coach, volunteer, or Raider alumni, we'd love to have you walk with us!

Volunteers Needed!

We're also looking for volunteers to help with parade setup from 8:00 AM–9:30 AM. This is a great opportunity for students to earn community service hours!

🚨 Raiders Families – School’s Out… Time to Put Those Kids to Work! 🚨

Now that the kids are officially out of school, it’s the perfect time to clean out those closets, toy bins, and bookshelves! Out with the old, in with the new—and help support the Sykesville Raiders Football & Cheer while you’re at it!

📍 Location: Fairhaven Field
📅 July 13 – July 17
🎯 Our Goal: Raise $1,000 toward a new set of field lights at Fairhaven!

We’re collecting gently used:

👕 Clothing & Accessories
• Men’s, women’s & children’s clothing
• Shoes, coats, handbags, belts, backpacks & more

🛏️ Household Textiles
• Bedding, comforters, blankets
• Sheets, towels, curtains, pillows & table linens

🏠 Small Household Goods
• Pots & pans, dishes, silverware
• Glassware, small appliances
• Home décor, toys, games & small electronics

📚 Books & Media
• Paperback & hardcover books
⚠️ Media must be boxed separately.
❌ No encyclopedias or textbooks.

Please pack donations as follows:
🛍️ Large bags (up to 20 lbs) – Clothing & textiles
📦 Medium boxes (up to 20 lbs) – Household goods
📚 Medium boxes (up to 30 lbs) – Books & media

Every bag and every box helps our program earn money! FUNDrive purchases donated items to support nonprofit organizations, giving your gently used items a second life while helping us improve our facilities.

The countdown is on for the Raiders Bull Roast, and we can't wait to kick off the 2026 season with you!

This year's event will be held at a new, larger location, making it the perfect opportunity to gather with fellow Raiders families, coaches, players, alumni, and supporters for a fun-filled evening.

We are excited to announce an upcoming community FUNDrive fundraiser to support Sykesville Raiders Football & Cheer! This eco-friendly fundraiser helps us raise money while giving gently used items a second life.

Where: Fairhaven Field
When: July 13th – July 17th
Goal:Raise $1,000 to help fund a new set of lights for the field at Fairhaven

We are collecting gently used items such as:

Clothing & Accessories: Men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, coats, shoes, handbags, belts, backpacks, etc.
