Friends of Piney Run Park & Nature Center We are associated with Carroll County Recreation & Parks.

The Piney Run Recreation and Conservation Council supports Piney Run Park, MD and its Nature Center, promoting park activities and offering scholarships to area high school students. Piney Run Recreation and Conservation Council is an organization of volunteers who work with the Carroll County Department of Recreation and Parks to provide recreation opportunities in the Sykesville and Eldersburg a

rea, as well as surrounding areas. The Council is a volunteer organization that provides services and holds fundraisers to assist with projects and programs at Piney Run Park and Nature Center. The Americans with Disabilities Act applies to the Carroll County Government and its programs, services, activities, and facilities. Anyone requiring an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication or who has a complaint should contact The Department of Citizen Services, 410.386.3600 or 1.888.302.8978 or MD Relay 7-1-1/1.800.735.2258 as soon as possible but no later than 72 hours before the scheduled event.

FREE PLANTS on the Nature Center patio!
We had a successful plant swap yesterday and still have some plants available on the Nature Center patio. Please stop by to see if you can provide a home for some of these. There are also a few snake plants inside the Nature Center, but you'll have to wait for those until the Nature Center opens back up on Wednesday. And a sincere thanks to everyone who donated plants, answered questions and to all who stopped by!

The Piney Run Council is pleased to host another pressed flowers class led by Twisted Sisters Artistry inside the cozy Piney Run Nature Center on Thursday, May 14th. In this class, participants will create a beautiful and unique pressed flower letter design inside a floating frame. All supplies are included and the park entrance fee is waived for participants. A portion of your registration fee will be donated to the Piney Run Council, the volunteer non-profit organization that supports the Piney Run Nature Center and park.
