It is an honor to have the support of Northern Illinois CPR and First Aid as a sponsor of the Roger Scott Memorial Golf Outing on July 23rd at River Heights Golf Course!

Northern Illinois CPR has earned a strong reputation for providing life-saving CPR and first aid training to businesses, schools, organizations, families, and communities throughout Northern Illinois.

This sponsorship carries a special meaning for the Scott family. Northern Illinois CPR was founded by Roger's niece, Lori Jasper, and his grand-nephew, Zach Oltmans. While we sadly lost Lori to lung cancer two years ago, her passion for helping others and her commitment to saving lives continue through the work of Northern Illinois CPR every day.

We are grateful for their support and for the lasting legacy of service, compassion, and community that both Lori and Roger shared. ❤️

Now you listen here, folks! We sent Roger's trusty old Deputy Barney Fife out on official business to gather up every law-abidin’, coffee-drinkin’, golf-swingin’ citizen in DeKalb County and make sure they know that July 23, 2026, is a date worthy of a big red circle on the calendar!

Whether you’re comin’ for a hot cup of coffee, a round of golf, a good lunch, or just to stop by and say ‘howdy,’ the place to be is River Heights Golf Course. Sheriff Roger never met a stranger, and this outing is all about carryin’ on that same spirit of friendship, laughter, and neighborly kindness.

We’ll be teein’ off bright and early at 8:30am on what’s bound to be one fine crisp July mornin’. Best of all, every swing, sip, and smile helps raise funds for a local charity servin’ DeKalb County families in need. So polish up them clubs, grab your buddies, and don’t make Barney come lookin’ for ya — this is one golf outing you surely don’t want to miss!

We are excited to see the K-9 program excellence continue with the DeKalb County's first female K-9 Scoutt and female handler Deputy Flatter! Early in his career, Roger launched the K-9 program with K-9 Rex von Victor, backed by the support of Sheriff Wilbur B. Scott. It was an enormously successful program, being the first K-9 team in Illinois to go on regular patrol. K-9 Rex had a remarkable career with involvement in major arrests and making frequent appearances in the Daily Chronicle headlines. We wish all the best to K-9 Scoutt and Deputy Flatter!
