Run Around the Square The new 5K course, which started on Milton Avenue and traversed Trevanion and Lancaster, was now able to accommodate the growing number of runners.

5k course for runners and walkers - runs through the streets of Regent Square and beautiful Frick Park
1.5 mile fun run - for runners/walkers of all ages and includes your furry ones! The Fun Run/Walk was also changed from 2 miles to 1.5 miles along a similar route. The biggest addition came with the entry of dogs. Friendly, leashed dogs were able to participate in the 1.5-mile Fun Run/Walk.

Happy Friday, runners and riders - registration for The Historic Hill 5K Run, Walk, & Ride is now open!

Join us on Saturday, August 15, at Freedom Corner to take on a challenging Centre Avenue course that winds up and back down past notable landmarks of the Hill District neighborhoods. This event is part of the 2026 City of Pittsburgh Community Footrace Series presented by Allegheny Health Network.

It's a fantastic day to register for Run Around the Square!

Join us for the summer finale of the City of Pittsburgh Community Footrace Series presented by Allegheny Health Network on Saturday, August 22!

Winding through the Regent Square community and nearby park trails, this 5K race finishes with a big celebration in the Frick Park Hollow. Run Around the Square also offers a 1.5 mile run/walk option ahead of the 5K on race morning.

Good morning, ! We're moving the fun of the 2026 Swissvale Mile to the fall!

The original July 11th date ended up being the first weekend of closures to 376 East. We anticipate significant issues that weekend between detours, high traffic volume and emergency responders that we rely on being needed elsewhere.

In the effort to keep our event fun, frustration free and safe for all, The Mile Team has made the decision to move the event to October 24. We hope you can join us!
