The HCCRA Youth Academy is back for 2026 - and this incredible outdoor experience is FREE to our participants!

Hosted by the Hoosier Creeks Conservation and Retriever Association and Legacy Acres Hunting Club, this 3-day academy gives youth ages 12-17 the opportunity to learn about:

*S hooting Sports
*Dog Training
*Hunting and Conservation
* Outdoor Recreation
* Trapping, wildlife management
* teamwork, leadership, and outdoor skills

📍 Where: Legacy Acres Hunting Club - Parnell, IA
🗓️ When: August 7-9, 2026
🏕️ Food, lodging, supplies, and training materials are provided, free of charge!
⚠️ participants must complete Iowa DNR Hunter Safety prior to the event.

This is an amazing opportunity to connect with mentors, make new friends and grow your passion for the outdoors in a great environment!

This Saturday we’re holding a training day at Legacy Acres Hunting Club in Parnell, IA at 8am!! Just $10 per dog to help pay for birds. Hope to see you there!

Had a great weekend hosting out 3rd annual HRC Hunt Test! We had fantastic judges, handlers, and of course volunteers! Cant thank everyone enough for their time, patience, and hard work! We look forward to next year!

We’re looking for volunteers for our HRC hunt test THIS WEEKEND!! Tests start at 8am but we will take volunteers at any time, for any duration. Message/call/comment if you need info or are interested!!
