We celebrated Nurture Nolan’s 5th Birthday with our Birthday Burger Bash last weekend! 🎉

We are so grateful for all who attended, donated & sponsored! Your support means everything!

It was a successful event at the beautiful BLUE AGAVE CATTLE COMPANY who served delicious burgers and GREAT music by Mulberry Canyon Band and Tristan Roberson Music!

FIRST SHUTTLE LEAVES FROM THE COUNTRY CLUB AT 5:30pm. 🚍 🤩

There’s only one bus that will run continuously between the Country Club and Blue Agave so we’d expect it to return to the Country Club for a second pick up around an hour later!

We will be providing SHUTTLE TRANSPORTATION to and from Burger Bash next weekend! The shuttle will run from The Sweetwater County Club, and the first bus will leave at 5:30 p.m. There will be a continuous shuttle to and from the Sweetwater Country Club and Blue Agave throughout the night.

BURGER BASH IS TOMORROW 🤩🎉

We know there is a lot going on tomorrow, so we are so grateful to those who have bought tickets & will be attending! We still have some tickets available for any who want to join!

We’ve been asked by quite a few people how they can donate if they are unable to attend. In lieu of a silent auction, we will have a station open at the event where individuals can donate and SPONSOR AN ESSENTIAL Nurture Nolan item that we give out regularly. We will also be raffling off two items: a meat box and a fire pit made by the Sweetwater High School welding class (thank you Coach Gee)! Nurture Nolan has a space located at 204 East Broadway - across the street from the Nolan County Courthouse - that holds our bags, supplies, and a space that is currently being equipped for the kids to come and hang during long court days. A child's presence is sometimes required in court for their CPS cases, and it can be a long day of waiting around for their case to be called. We hope to provide a space where the child's caseworker can bring them to play, color, read or watch a movie while they wait. Hundreds of bags are packed and distributed from this space each year. Christmas shoes are purchased and wrapped in this space and distributed to every child in care. Birthday boxes are put together and sent out to make sure they have a gift to open. Clothes, shoes, diapers, car seats, pack-n-plays and high chairs are provided to our kids and their placements.

How can you help support this space? We have one fundraiser each year to fund these efforts. BURGER BASH is right around the corner! This is a concert fundraiser that is open to the public. It's $45 per ticket which includes your food and a show! What's better than that?! THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR 🎄

For the fifth consecutive year, each of our Nolan County kids in care will receive a name brand pair of tennis shoes for Christmas! ♥️ Our mission behind this gift is to ensure each child has a gift to unwrap that they are excited about, that also fills a need for each child. WE ARE SENDING OUT OVER 100 PAIRS OF SHOES THIS YEAR!

THANK YOU to Trinity Baptist Church for their generous donation that helped sponsor a portion of these shoes. An additional thank you to each of the volunteers that come every year to help wrap each gift and make it beautiful for every kid!😍
