Gcfd2 Sweet-Montour Fire Auxiliary

Gcfd2 Sweet-Montour Fire Auxiliary We support the Gem County Fire District 2 Sweet Fire Department. We also provide assistance other efforts/groups in our community as needed.

Our group supports the Sweet Fire Department by providing drinks and sandwiches/snacks when they are out on a fire, fundraising for new/additional equipment, and other fire department needs as they arise. We offer assistance to community members after a house fire with monetary support and food donations.

Meet Gem County Fire District #2 New Temporary Fire Commissioner, Kim Zemaitis a Montour resident of 20 years! Her journey with the fire district began during the 2024 Paddock Fire, where she supported the Ola Ladies by coordinating supplies county-wide and providing meals and assistance. Join us in welcoming her to this vital role!

Just a reminder- There is a burn ban in effect in the Sweet area from June 1st, 2022 through Oct. 31st, 2022. Recreational camp fires in approved rings are allowable.
