Former Sweet Springs Resort Park Page

Former Sweet Springs Resort Park Page The property is currently closed to the public. Jefferson's "Sweet Springs" is enveloped in history.

Designed by Thomas Jefferson, visited by Presidents that were forming this nation, and graced by famous ladies and gentlemen from all over the world, this magnificent resort will now be restored. For over 50 years, this wonderous facility served as an institution, and the last 25 years has sat - neglected and deteriorating - this historic hotel and surrounding structures (including one of the olde

st jailhouses) have now been turned into a public park managed by The Sweet Springs Resort Park Foundation, Inc. While restoration will not happen overnight, it will be slow and steady as funding and materials are available. The restoration is a rare opportunity to merge economics, history and culture in a venture that holds the potential to go far beyond the local area (Monroe County), and the state (West Virginia) area. The potential here lies on a National level, but we need YOUR SUPPORT.
