The 98th Oregon FFA State Convention was a success for the Sweet Home FFA!!!
This year, we had 17 Sweet Home FFA members attend convention, and they all had a great time! To start off the convention, Caden Foley and Kaylie Cooley received their State Degrees. In the 4 years of our program, we have now recorded 4 State Degrees!
This year we also had three students competing in Agriscience for the first time ever in Sweet Home FFA history! Their hard work and dedication paid off! Caden Foley received 1st place in Food Science Division 5, and Kace Stevens and Olivia Sullens also received 1st place in Plant Science Division 4. All three of these students will be representing not just Sweet Home, but the state of Oregon at the national level later this year.
On top of the awards received this year, students and attended a multitude of workshops, watched other chapters compete in their competitions, and learning more about leadership and community for their own communities. As we come home from our 4th state convention as a chapter, we are proud of each of our students, and we are happy to represent our amazing community!
