Meet Socks.
Socks wasn’t “a bad dog”—he was a good dog suffering from serious kennel stress. The shelter environment was overwhelming, and euthanasia was being discussed as a possible outcome. He needed calm, structure, and a chance, not a countdown.
Benji’s Animal Adoption Barn (BAAB) stepped in because we believe second chances matter, especially for dogs who are shut down or misunderstood. We partnered with CJ’s Dog Training so Socks could get out of the kennel, into a training program, and finally learn in a safe, supportive environment.
And he has absolutely blossomed:
• Monday he learned to sit.
• Tuesday he learned to walk off leash.
• Today he has learned to stay.
He is such a smart, sweet boy.
Now Socks is:
• Neutered
• Vaccinated
• Microchipped
• Professionally TRAINED
Please don’t let him go back to the shelter after training. Kennel life is what was hurting him in the first place. He needs a family, a home, and a real chance.
Socks is FREE and ready for his forever family—someone who will keep building on his training, give him routine and love, and make sure he never has to face that kind of stress again.

Best use of PTO ever: I took a day off from my full-time job to drive Socks to begin his training and give him the second chance he deserves. Whoever adopts Socks will get a fully trained, neutered, vaccinated dog who is absolutely amazing—he’s the absolute sweetest boy.

🐾 SOCKS IS COMING — AND HE’S GOING TO BE THE PERFECT DOG FOR THE RIGHT HOME 🐾
Meet Socks — about a year and a half old, handsome black-and-white pit mix. He’s leaving the shelter soon and heading into a professional board-and-train program. I am personally covering the training AND boarding so he can decompress and come out ready for a real home.
When he graduates, he will be available for adoption — and honestly, how often do you get a dog like this for FREE?
✅ Fully trained by a professional
✅ Neutered
✅ Microchipped
✅ Fully vaccinated and heartworm negative
Someone is about to get the most perfect dog handed to them at zero cost. Do not sleep on this.

🚨 URGENT — WE ARE NOW COVERING FOOD FOR SOCKS’ FOSTER 🚨
Y’all… I don’t know how else to say it. Socks is still sitting in the shelter and we have not found a foster or a placement. He is a 1-year-old, 60-lb boy who just wants OUT of that kennel — and the stress is showing.
We have removed every barrier we can think of:
🐾 He is FREE — no adoption fee
💉 Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention
🍖 NEW: We will personally pay for his food while he is in foster — it will not cost you a dime
❤️ He is high-energy but the biggest snuggler once he’s on the couch
All Socks needs is a quiet home with no other pets and older kids who can respect his space so he can decompress. That’s it. That’s the whole ask.
If you have ever thought “I wish I could help but…” — this is your sign. Fostering is temporary, we cover the food, BAAB covers the vetting, and you literally save a life.

🚨 Foster Needed ASAP 🐾
This sweet dog is currently at the shelter and needs a foster home to help give them a chance. A foster can make all the difference by providing a safe, comfortable place to stay while they wait for a forever family.
